How to Change Your Pride Watch Strap
Your Pride Watch is all about celebrating your true self. Sometimes you need a new strap to match a different look or simply just a change to keep things fresh! Good news: changing the strap on many of our watches is super simple and you can do it right at home.
It is easy to change your strap if you have one of our standard-sized watches (usually those with a 38mm case). These straps have a quick-release spring bar. This means you can take them off and put them on without any tools!
If your watch is one of our larger sizes (usually 42mm cases), we recommend visiting a trusted jeweller or watch expert. They have the special tools needed to safely change the strap for you.
If you have a mesh strap on your Pride Watch, you might also need to resize your watch bracelet for your wrist, we’ll also explain how you can adjust it to size. For this you will need a small tool like a screwdriver, but it’s also simple and just takes a couple of minutes.
Part 1: Changing Your Strap With No Tools
This part is for our watches that have the easy quick-release system. You will see a tiny lever right on the strap near the watch case.
Steps to Remove the Old Strap:
-
Prep Your Watch: Lay your watch face down on a clean, soft, dry surface. A soft cloth or towel is perfect. This keeps the watch safe from scratches.
-
Find the Lever: Look closely at the strap where it meets the watch. You will see a small lever or knob—that is your quick-release bar.
-
Pull and Release: Use your finger to gently pull the little lever to the left. This releases the tiny metal pin (the spring bar) that holds the strap to the watch case.
-
Lift Off: Gently slide the strap away from the watch case. Do the same thing for the other side of the strap.
Steps to Attach the New Strap:
-
Line It Up: Take your new strap. Line up the small pin with the holes on the watch case.
-
Pull and Slide: Pull the little lever to the left again. Hold it gently. Slide the pin into place, making sure it sits inside the tiny hole on the watch case.
-
Check It Twice: Let go of the lever. Give the strap a little tug away from the watch. If it feels solid and secure, you are ready to wear your watch!
Part 2: How to Adjust Your Mesh Strap
If you have a trendy mesh strap, you can adjust it to fit your wrist perfectly. For this, you will need a small, thin tool, like a tiny screwdriver or a similar flat, small item.
-
Find Your Fit: Try the watch on your wrist first to see exactly where the clasp needs to sit. Find the right notch on the strap for your fit.
-
Open the Clasp Lock: Turn the watch over. Use your small tool to gently push up the folding clasp. Be very careful not to scratch the metal.
-
Move the Clasp: Once the lock is open, move the clasp along the strap to the notch you chose in step one.
-
Lock It Down: Once the clasp is in the right place, press the folding clasp down firmly to lock it into place.
-
Test It: Try the watch on again to make sure it is the perfect size. You can adjust it again as many times as you need to feel comfortable.
That is all there is to it! Now you can easily change your strap to express your style any day of the week.
